Before the first case of COVID-19 was ever diagnosed, policy makers, scholars, and practitioners had been exploring how developments in AI, machine learning, and the gig economy were reshaping the labour market.

Then the pandemic happened, and it forced us to rethink these debates altogether: our offices have merged with our homes, long-established processes have been erased, and entirely new roles have been created.

To help us understand how these changes will impact the future of work, we’re joined by Lisa Cohen, an associate professor of organizational behaviour at McGill University who specializes in jobs and the labour market, and Scott McDonald, the  President and CEO of Oliver Wyman, an international management consulting firm.
