How should Christians engage with the world social media? In this message, we engage with the Netflix docudrama “The Social Dilemma,” discussing how the Christian worldview reminds us that our ultimate problem, and the ultimate solution, remain unchanged.

Ambassadors for Christ

Through faith in Jesus, we’ve all been made ambassadors for Christ, bringing to everyone the message of reconciliation. That is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them. The question for us is, “Are we functioning in our role as ambassadors for Christ? Or, are we overly focused on ourselves and therefore neglecting the ministry and message we’ve been given?”

A New Creation

The gospel is called good news. That’s different than good advice. News tells us something that has already happened. Advice is all about what we still need to do. While there are next steps for all of us in the Christian life, we always start with just the good news — because of Jesus, we are already new creations, completely forgiven and made righteous in God’s sight.

Love and Fear

Is fear always a bad thing? It depends on how you define it, and what you fear. Across the pages of the Bible, we see that the “fear of the Lord” is actually a good thing. It’s the love of Christ that saves us and transforms us, but the fear of the Lord can motivate us toward greater obedience.
