Not knowing how to sail, Dustin Reynolds set out to be the first double amputee to do a 'singlehanded' circumnavigation on a 1968 Alberg 35 after losing his left arm and foot in a motorcycle accident.
He learned by reading sailing books, watching instructional Youtube videos, and cruising around the Hawaiian islands for one month.
In the following 6 years, he has sailed over 25,000 miles 'singlehanded', visited over 30 countries, and is currently in the Bahamas.
Dustin plans on transiting the Panama canal in May and completing his singlehanded circumnavigation by December 2021.
