Rachel is a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Leeds Beckett University. She is novelist, dramatist and prize-winning short story writer. She has published many novels among them Sisterwives, and The Properties of Water which was the Winner of the Linen Press Spring Shorts award in 2014. Rachel works freelance as a facilitator of writing workshops, an editor and mentor, and she is a panel member of the upcoming UK Storgy Northern Short Story Festival in June 2018.
