Josh went back and listened to some of his earliest Podcast Interviews (from 2012 and early 2013) and has managed through all the muck and mess, to pull out several lessons for better Podcast Interviews. This is part 3 of a 3 part series covering the following 3 Lessons.
Today's Lesson: EDIT YOUR PODCAST!!
To paraphrase Howard Fine: If you think editing doesn't matter, then go find your favourite Speech, TED Talk, Joke, etc. and start adding ums, ahs, likes and you knows back into the audio, and see if it makes it better. Hot Tip: It Doesn't.
To paraphrase Roman Mars from 99% Invisible: If you have 500 listeners, and you cut out a minute of fluff from your podcast, you’re not just saving one minute, you’re saving 500 minutes.
