Triathlon has been one of my favourite sports for quite some time now, and I had the opportunity to speak with incredible Pro mother triathletes for the past few weeks where they shared their active pregnancy experience, recovery and motherhood journey, and this left me thinking that women are in fact true superhumans.

In Today's episode, my guest is Ana Filipa Santos, one of our dearest Portuguese Pro Triathletes, a 4-time National middle distance triathlon champion, 4 times national duathlon champion, 2 times Olympic distance triathlon champion, and 2 times Iberian middle-distance champion. But these are just a few of her biggest achievements to date.
She is also a triathlon coach and recently became a mom, to a gorgeous baby girl.

Episode highlights:

The start of Ana's competitive triathlon life (You will be surprised to know when she actually started...)Her pregnancy journey as an athlete and more.Find out how long Ana ran during her pregnancy and why she had to stop.Ana tells us about the condition of having a uterine myoma (fibroid) where she described being as big as a "tennis ball" during pregnancy.
