Steven Foster is the CEO of One Golden Nugget, a platform that serves to collect wisdom and life advice generated by the public with the sole intent of benefiting other people. Unlike social media sites, there is no commenting, no liking, and most importantly, no selling of data. Before founding One Golden Nugget, Steven had a wild career path. He was once in a boy band, someone in charge of sweeping floors, part of management on X-Factor, a songwriter, and has produced hit records in the UK. He is also proud to admit that he hit rock bottom three times, but he treats them as critical moments in his life that served as springboards that got him to where he is today.

Steven joins me today to share his illustrious professional journey, adventures, and misadventures, and why he started One Golden Nugget. He discusses his life as a musician and former boy-band member, and why he doesn’t consider this experience a “win.” We discuss the three times he hit rock bottom and the lessons he learned from them. Steven shares what it was like to be invited to Buckingham Palace and meet Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth. We discuss why running became both his passion and a form of meditation. Steven also shares why he believes having bad things happen to you are designed to teach you essential lessons in life.

"It's part of life and everybody goes through it to some degree. I don't think being at rock bottom is designed to stop you; I think it's designed to teach you." - Steven Foster
