Richard and Demi Weitz are the father-daughter duo behind QUARANTUNES, a virtual concert event that began in honor Demi’s birthday when the pandemic of 2020 started. The event has since grown into a charity event, raising over $25 million to date! Richard is a partner at William Morris Endeavor (WME) and co-head of the scripted television department. His robust clientele includes Tina Fey, Seth MacFarlane, Ricky Gervais, and Steve Molaro. Demi is a talented 18-year old high school graduated who is headed to college and now has a passion for charity work.

Richard and Demi join me today to discuss QUARANTUNES, how it got started, and the different ways it improved their relationship as father and daughter. They share the funding they’ve received so far and the various charities the money has helped. They describe what the first day was like, how they promoted the event, and the greatest number of people who tuned in on one Zoom call. They explain the appeal of their show and the lessons they took from the experience. They also share their plans for the future and whether audiences can look forward to more shows like QUARANTUNES after the pandemic has run its course.

"If anyone has one small idea, they should go with it because you will never know how it will change someone's life." - Demi Weitz
