Next Episode: Reflections on Feminism

Today’s guest, Jamie Ribisi-Braley, is an artist from Auburn, Maine, and the Office Manager of the United Society of Shakers at Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Boston University.

Jamie is also the Leader of a multi-level Girl Scout Troop, and is the recipient of the Volunteer of Excellence Award, the Volunteer Appreciation Pin, and the Linda Shostak Award

Although Jamie doesn’t have children in the Girl Scouts, she felt a strong inclination to mentor young people and great respect for the Girl Scout Leadership Model. All of which came together four years ago when she became a Girl Scout Volunteer and Troop Leader.

We discuss how she got involved, why she got involved, why she feels it’s important to give back to the kids in her community, and the multi-level, safe space troop she leads.
