In this preparatory sermon for the Lord's Supper, we open up the Song of Songs - to investigate our love and desire for Jesus Christ. As the bride in the song is distressed under the sun with a neglected vineyard, we find our souls are often neglected and distressed with a life under the sun. That is meant to draw our desire and attention to our bridegroom, Jesus Christ, sighing that He would kiss us with the kisses of His mouth and that He would draw us after Himself. Preached Sabbath PM on 12-5-21 from Song of Songs 1-1-7 on the occasion of a preparatory sermon for the Lord's Supper.
