In the coffee world, there’s a lot of roasters and coffee shops that are doing good. There’s many coffee companies that are working to improve the lives the farmers that grow our coffee. There’s more than a few coffee roasters that donate a percentage of their profits to non-profit organizations. Of course, every company is out to make money so that they can support themselves, but I can’t think of an industry where there are so many people and companies out there trying to help other people and improve the world.

One of those companies, is owned by Pat and John Curry. They run a coffee roasting company based out of Augusta, Georgia called Buona Caffee. They’re a relatively new company that started back in 2009, but they’re already doing big things from spreading the word of good coffee to helping bring clean water to some of the poorest countries in the world.

For every 12-ounce bag they sell, they donate 50 cents to Children’s Safe Drinking Water, a program that provides water purification packets to such organizations as World Vision, CARE, and U.S. AID. The donation from two bags of coffee will give a child clean drinking water for 50 days.
