Welcome to the Ninety Third episode of Daily Daf Differently. In this episode, Rabbi Steve Kane looks at Masechet Shabbat Daf 94. Shabbat 94 continues the discussion of the prohibition of carrying on Shabbat. In this case the question of moving a dead body is discussed, along with the important principle that, “human dignity is so important that it can suspend a prohibition of the Torah.”


Rabbi Steven Kane is the spiritual leader of Congregation Sons of Israel. Rabbi Kane was ordained at JTS and holds a Master’s Degree in Judaic Studies and a Bachelor of Hebrew Literature degree from the University of Judaism as well as a BA from Washington University in St. Louis.
