In this episode, we explore issues surrounding the prohibition of bishul b’shabbat (cooking on Shabbat) and try to understand why the Talmud doesn’t always find it necessary to decide the law.
Rabbi Ben Kramer works as a congregational rabbi and an artisan blacksmith (you can see his work at rabbiBLACKSMITH.com or at facebook.com/rabbiBlackSmith). He has an MA in Talmud from the JTS Graduate School and is currently on his second Daf Yomi cycle.
