Welcome to the Hundred and Thirty Third episode of Daily Daf Differently. In this episode, Rabbi Marci Jacobs Aronchick looks at Masechet Shabbat Daf 134. “From the mouths of babes…” or in this case, mothers. On our Daf, we see how folk wisdom handed down from mother to child and real life experience impact our halakhic decision-making.

Rabbi Marci Jacobs Aronchick is the Education Director of Congregation Ansche Chesed in New York City. Prior to coming to the Ansche Chesed community, she served for five years as the Assistant Rabbi at Temple Emunah, in Lexington, MA. A lover of Rabbinic Literature since the first time she explored a page of Talmud in college, Marci relishes opportunities to bring her passion for the Gemara to her students, whether one-on-one, in the classroom, or now, through Daily Daf Differently.
