Welcome to the Hundred and Thirty First episode of Daily Daf Differently. In this episode, Rabbi Marci Jacobs Aronchick looks at Masechet Shabbat Daf 132. The discussion on this Daf asks us to consider what we do when our obligations for potentially contradictory mitzvoth intersect. How do we decide which mitzvah takes precedence? And in what ways, overall, do we look at our system of mitzvoth and decide to prefer some over others?

Rabbi Marci Jacobs Aronchick is the Education Director of Congregation Ansche Chesed in New York City. Prior to coming to the Ansche Chesed community, she served for five years as the Assistant Rabbi at Temple Emunah, in Lexington, MA. A lover of Rabbinic Literature since the first time she explored a page of Talmud in college, Marci relishes opportunities to bring her passion for the Gemara to her students, whether one-on-one, in the classroom, or now, through Daily Daf Differently.

The opening and closing music for this podcast is Ufros from The Epichorus album One Bead.
