Anthony Maccaglia had an extraordinary college career while playing for Coach Owen at Oglethorpe. After a high school career that led to being under-recruited, Coach Owen saw something special in Anthony when he first saw him play as a high school senior. It didn't take Anthony long to make his mark at the collegiate level as he not only helped his team win the NCAA title his first year, he also walked away as an individual NCAA champion. Fittingly, he was named National Freshman of the Year.

The rest of Anthony's college career was in no way a letdown. After finishing the first three seasons as the number two player in the country, Anthony went out on top as the number one ranked golfer in Division III his senior year. The four-time All-American was honored as a Jack Nicklaus award recipient, an award given to the top-ranked golfer of each division. He was also the first DIII player to be named to the U.S. Palmer Cup team, which is comprised of the top golfers in collegiate golf that compete against the top international collegiate golfers annually.

After an extremely successful collegiate career, Anthony began his professional career. After spending some time on mini-tours to further develop his game, he now finds himself with status on the MacKenzie Tour in Canada.

In this episode, Anthony explains how playing for his team led him to his individual success in college, his expectations for himself at the pro level coming out of college, how one unexpected good week can lead to a breakthrough, playing for those good moments even when the bad insist on dragging you down, and much more!
