On this episode of Cylinder Radio, I speak with Manu Meel, the CEO of  BridgeUSA, a youth-led non-profit organization that creates spaces on college and high school campuses for open-minded and non-judgemental conversations on political issues.

I think it’s a really important challenge to take on and BridgeUSA is doing an awesome job at tackling it so I wanted to have him on the podcast to learn more and share his work with my platform.

During our conversation, we talk about how BridgeUSA started, why Manu felt called to insert himself into the culture wars and why he thinks he was able to “resist” the temptation of going after material success and external rewards over meaning.

We also discuss how to get young people to break out of their thought bubbles and if echo chambers are part of human nature or not. Lastly, we talk about what makes people actually take action to change something within our society and what you can do to start your own BridgeUSA chapter if you are at a high school or college in the US.
