In this weeks My Thoughts Monday I share another self reflection from this season. Over the past 10 months we have really worked to help the athletes develop a routine. This has been a big challenge to me because, in some cases, these routines may not have been what I would have thought would be the “best option”. This has made me really take a step back, listen, and work WITH the athletes to help do what is best for them. This has been, in my opinion, really successful, and the athletes have really bought into it and not only have done better with those routines, but also with the “basics” aspects of the program. Would love to hear how you have helped your athletes build a “routine” and/or any road blocks you, as the coach, had to get past in order to best assist them in getting themselves in the best “place” possible to perform.
