In this episode of Creative Guts, co-hosts Laura Harper Lake and Sarah Wrightsman chat with M of BLKSHE. M is an artist and curator (among other things), largely painting in acrylic. Her subject matter has evolved over time, but her goal with her abstracts is to tell a story of the moment she is creating. M has always been creative, but didn’t start to take her art seriously until she was in college. In this episode, you’ll hear about Orientation: The Voice of the Youth, a public art exhibition M is very excited about! We’ll also talk about ART NABE, a pop up arts market featuring underrepresented artists and inspiring the next generation of artists. M shares how she is bringing lessons from elsewhere back to New Hampshire and how she is trying to step out of perfection, giving her best, and redefining BLKSHE.
