A legacy of sacrifice doesn't come without commitment, dedication, focus, and a servant's heart. Everything one would love to proclaim.

There are seasons in life where we try to control everything, to the point of rebelling against what God has called us to do.
Jonah ran away from God, and where did that get him? Stuck in a whale. (Jonah 1- 3)
God had bigger plans. And no matter what you want, God always has a way to turn you around, directing your path in the way you should go.
But let's be real.
You stay attached to the comfort of knowing and resist God's direction for as long as you can.
Your body becomes worn and torn. Sleep is restless along with your spirit. Nothing, but what you want, matters.
The internal battle startles the rebellious spirit. "Should I really be resisting as much as I am?" You begin to question.
Is the battle worth the fight?
Soon, it's in the battle where you discover a legacy of sacrifice.

"My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise." ~ Psalm 51:17You trying to make life perfect only complicates matters. Your control hinders your personal growth and God's blessings in your life.
Your sacrifice comes from your brokenness.
The battle that becomes too hard to fight is the one God is waiting for.
Choose to be a legacy of sacrifice, offering up your brokenness.
REFLECTIONS: As you think about places, people, and areas of your own life, where does God seem absent?
Where are you fighting the battle alone?
Where do you feel like the battle has yet to be won?
Fulfill a legacy of sacrifice by giving your broken spirit. Let God use you for His purpose, not your purpose.
You are an instrument of God's forgiveness, mercy, and grace.
