When you're lost, where do you turn? All of us need a GPS system. God's Word is alive! Thy word is a lamp unto my feet.
Sometimes though we get stuck in looking at God's word, the scriptures, hoping to find what fits into what we want. The direction is geared to our needs.

Nothing has to do with what God wants in our lives. We fumble through the index and verses that are familiar trying to connect the dots we see.
But what does God see?
What would happen if you approach God asking Him what He wants for your life? Searching in the scriptures to see God show up.
Do you think that would change the conversation of your life?
One of my favorite songs sung by Amy Grant is Thy Word.
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." ~ Psalm 119:105I believe we don't always see God's Word as alive and active. Instead we approach God's Word as a way to light the steps to take.
Charles F. Stanley says it best. "...it's like a flashlight we hold to illuminate the steps ahead." (Jesus, Our Perfect Hope)
But God's Word is to reveal our path, the way in which we are to go. God's leadership in our life is alive and active!

How are you solving your problems with God?
If you keep looking for the answers with the emphasis of how you can solve the problems, you'll find answers. But you may not find God's best for you.
As you go through your day, look at how you are interacting with God in your prayers and in the scriptures.
Pray that God's will be done for your life with each step you take.
God will never lead you astray. In fact, His Will will ignite a fire deep within.
