After losing a former teammate to an overdose, Randy finally had the courage to raise his hand and ask for help. "I literally crawled into treatment," states Randy Grimes. As a former NFL player whose career spanned 10 years, Randy used prescription pills to treat his career-related injuries. Those pills fed an addiction that would last 20+ years.

Today, Randy is a strong advocate for recovery. He launched "Athletes in Recovery", to help professional athletes find addiction treatment and recovery resources. He has partnered with the "NFL Player Care Foundation", "After the Impact Fund", "Gridiron Greats", and the "Baseball Assistance Team". Randy has worked with hundreds of former professional athletes and continues those outreach efforts today.
