#026. Today is Part 1 of host Steve Fisher's conversation with Skagit Valley Chorale artistic director and conductor Dr. Adam Burdick. The Chorale, based in Mr. Vernon, Washington, made international headlines when a rehearsal resulted in most of the attendees getting sick with Covid-19, including Adam and his wife. Sadly, two Singers passed away from the disease. To say it hit home for choral folks is an understatement. The reality is, it could have been any of our choirs. This conversation with Steve is the first time Adam has spoken publicly about the heart-wrenching ordeal he and his ensemble endured since March. They cover a wide range of important and fascinating topics.  Adam and his choristers are real live choral folks who deserve to be known in three dimensions. Adam’s words, and his deep humanity, achieve this.
