Anyone can rail against the Left as a talk show host or on the campaign trail. But why is it that we have failed to govern in accordance with that rhetoric even in red states? Look no farther than the conservative media’s treatment of DeSantis and Rep. Byron Donalds dumping on him for actually revamping the African-American studies curriculum in Florida. Today, I provide the Rosetta stone for why red states aren’t red states. It boils down to the fact that even conservatives are terrified of corporate politics and identity politics. DeSantis has slain both of them and is the first to do so in our lifetime. Rather than celebrating that success, they pile on against him. This is why we are where we are. At the end, I discuss the latest economic news and how we have a permanent, fake economy boxing us out of the American dream. Again, all because Republicans lied to us for years and weren’t serious about dealing with the debt.
