Hello everyone and welcome to CommanderCast Episode 433! This week Mark and Adam bending the rules of Magic into a new shape with Spellshapers! Spellshapers are creature cards that have abilities that are mirror images of other well-known spells that you know. We’re talking creatures with effects that are like Wrath of God and wheel effects. But first the guys are going to discuss a recent video from The Professor about deck power levels. In this modern day of Magic, do Commander decks actually have a power level anymore or are they just different versions of play styles? Can a commander dick now be more powerful just because it plays away the other people are not used to or don’t want to play against? Also in Strategy, the guys want to see if they can make self discard work in Commander?
All that, plus our usual interstitial fodder, and all you have to do is Click the IB!!!

We discuss the Prof’s “It’s Time To Move On From Commander Power Levels”
Discussion points:
It’s about the game, not the decks
“How long do we want to play?”
“Are we playing to win or to socialize?”
“What don’t we like to play against?”
Pick a deck for the table, not just the game
Have a post-game debrief
Be humble
Take some dating advice: use “I” statements, not “you” statements
Avoid the “I could have won if…” discussions at all costs
