The Christmas Spirit of 1940: Black Henry and Simple Simon.

It’s a special bonus Christmas Episode as we look at the first Christmas Spirit story by Will Eisner. It was a holiday tradition for Eisner to have the Spirit step aside and let the Spirit of Christmas fight crime. This is the first one from 1940. Eisner’s genius is apparent even in this early story from the first year of The Spirit.
