I am so excited to welcome Deven Comen, Director of Strategic Partnerships at the College Board, to College Talk this week. We talk about the College Board Opportunity Scholarship (CBOS) and the great scholarships students can receive. We also talk about FAFSA and a cool new way to get help using a bot named Wyatt!

This episode is really focused on counselors, teachers, and administrators. We talk about all the great things this program offers students, but we also why it's important to make sure students are following the steps, especially filing that FAFSA.

Here are some important announcements from the College Board with links included for ease:

Applying to college is a complicated process, so the College Board has created a program that guides you through it. This scholarship program is open to all students and it doesn't require an essay, application, or minimum GPA. Instead, it rewards your effort and initiative. Wyatt, Free FAFSA Support Via Text

Before the College Board Opportunity Scholarships FAFSA scholarship opens on October 1, students can go to getfafsahelp.org to sign up to be notified when the FAFSA opens and Wyatt becomes available on October 1. After students sign up, they’ll get a confirmation text from Wyatt and tips for getting started (like creating an FSA ID). Students will automatically get a text from Wyatt when the FAFSA opens.
