Johnston is currently contributing editor for www.internetnews.com and has covered Microsoft as a reporter and columnist for 23 years. He has regularly appeared as the “Tech Expert” on ABC-TV’s Seattle station, as well as on the BBC and TechTV on cable. He has been a columnist for Information Week, PC World, and InfoWorld, as well as spending several years as the Seattle bureau chief for InfoWorld. His areas of coverage have ranged from Microsoft’s object technologies to tools, application development environments, messaging middleware and operating systems to Microsoft’s Biztalk XML Server and related technologies.
