Coach Joe Rutigliano is not a coach who had his foot halfway in the door to coaching due to his college playing career. In fact, he didn't play college hoops at all. He absolutely loves basketball and when he became the manager for Canisius Women's Lacrosse team, he voiced, even then, that his goal was to make a career coaching basketball, not necessarily lacrosse. From being a lacrosse manager all the way to becoming an assistant women's basketball coach at Cornell University, we talk about his journey, what factors make getting a career in coaching so difficult & ways to break into the profession, coaching IVY league, and so much more!
