In this series, we take a look at Redding's Sewer System and talk with a few of the people who help make sure that the things you flush, don't come back up to the surface. In fact, the City of Redding's Wastewater Department is making sure that the wastewater that leaves our homes eventually goes back into the Sacramento River as clean, if not cleaner, than when it came out. This is no small operation!
In part one of this three-part series, we talk with Chase Taylor, Wastewater Collections Lead with the City of Redding. He is in the trenches, so to speak, and helps us understand how crews keep the sewer lines in good condition and what causes the most problems for our sewer lines.
