Kelly O' Malley is the founder of A Light in Dark Places, a Non-Profit Organization whose purpose is to spread awareness about mental health issues, eliminate the stigma surrounding suicide and bring hope to everyone who's struggling. Check out their website and if you’d like to contribute, any donation to them would be highly appreciated: http://www.alightindarkplaces.org

A Light in Dark Places started as an experiment for Kelly 4 years ago, after going under extensive theatre training at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting & Theatre in Los Angeles. In there, she found herself, found some healing, and also joined a community that supported her and made her realize that she had a bigger purpose in life. Creating a community that spreads love, kindness, and sheds light upon topics surrounded by stigmas like mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

ALIDP receives now dozens of submissions from playwrights from all over America and this year Kelly started new ways of reaching other communities to spread the word. She created the event "Songs for Hope" in March 2019 where she gathered with other artists in Downtown Los Angeles to sing, enjoy and tell everyone that's OK to NOT be ok and that there's hope even in our darkest times.
