Job 2.11-13; 4-27
Thankfully, in the midst of Job’s crisis, his three friends come to comfort him. But after listening to him, things quickly get out of hand. They all take their turns at beating Job down with the retributive principle. They point their fingers at Job for his wrong doing and tell him to change. Job consistently responds by declaring his integrity and his astonishment that his friends would come to him in such a way.
