Denial is hard to accept. Whether it be a relationship or job, it is often difficult to move past.
What we will see this week in our text is that Jesus knows he will be denied by his friend. Not only does he predict this, but also makes promises about what will happen after the denial.
Now, maybe you think that Jesus is going to pull out all the punches for this denier. Instead, he promises him something that is naturally impossible to do.
You and I live as functional deniers of Jesus all the time. We might now view life that way, but it’s true. So, the promises that Jesus makes to his disciples are also true for us.
This week will be like eating comfort food.
