Feasting was a regular occurrence in the Old Testament. The people of God would stop their regularly scheduled lives to remember what God has done. As the church, we have a meal as well, which Jesus instituted on the night that He was betrayed. But, He spoke about the type of feast that He desired for His people earlier than this. It was at a speaking event in the wilderness where people forgot to bring food.
