It is okay to acknowledge when our life is hard. It is okay to accept that it may not immediately change. The goal is to focus on how we can grow in the midst of it all. Our false faith tells us if God is kind, he will save us from the hurt. Truth tells us it’s in his kindness that he allows us to endure pain. And resiliency is the muscle he grows in us to help us endure.

Michele and I sat down to discuss how easy it is to expect God to rescue us from our hard circumstances rather than embracing them as an opportunity to learn. Yet, we can move from seeing struggles as losses to seeing them as opportunities to learn when we:
