Although it’s never desired, suffering and sickness are a part of life.  Both often drive us to our knees as we fervently petition God for deliverance and healing.  We rejoice when we receive the answer we have labored long in prayer for.  But what happens when God doesn’t ease the suffering or heal the disease?  Do we begin to wonder what God is doing?  Do we question if God still loves us or even cares about our circumstance?  Do we look inwardly and ask, “Did I do something wrong?”  Do we grieve what once was normal?
