Happy October! Halloween is just around the corner, so this week I brought in an expert costume designer from New York City, Heather McDevitt Barton, to talk us through how to design and build the perfect Halloween Costume for the little ones in your life! Heather not only designs costumes for the children's program at Atlantic Theatre Company, but she also works as a freelance costume designer for families! She talks us through where to begin with a complicated costume, how to shop on a tight budget, and how to find valuable teaching moments as you talk through ideas with kids! This episode will get you ready to take on any Halloween costume challenge! **Please note, in order to get this wonderful interview, Heather and I had to record over the phone.
