I'm Chaplain Jared and I work as a hospice chaplain and an ICU chaplain. My purpose in making this podcast is to help you find more peace in your life and to be more open for your heart to be changed by the Spirit of God.  By using centuries old form of Christian Meditation named Lectio Divina:

Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization.

Get into a place where you can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes.You should hopefully not be driving or anything tensing or unrelaxing.  If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes.

Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation:

Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate, deflate.

Bible verses for Meditation:

Proverbs 1
ESV
1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
2 for gaining wisdom and instruction;
    for understanding words of insight;
3 for receiving instruction in prudent behavior,
    doing what is right and just and fair;
4 for giving prudence to those who are simple,
    knowledge and discretion to the young—
5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
    and let the discerning get guidance—
6 for understanding proverbs and parables,
    the sayings and riddles of the wise.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
    but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

KJV
1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Meditation on Scripture:

Why is wisdom Good? Why is it important? Why does God care about wisdom? It is important how we perceive wisdom. God is the source of all truth. We believe in a God who formed the cosmos. In his hands he can hold the universe and look from its beginning to its end. There is no fact or truth that is outside of his understanding. We need not fear any truth. This scripture points to the idea that wisdom means that we will be able to learn from the truth of God. We will be willing to be instructed in things we do not understand.

Prudent action rivals understanding for importance when talking about wisdom. If we know all things but do not do what is right, what good is that knowledge for us? Wisdom in God draws us to understand His mysteries, but then also to walk in harmony with His ways.

Solomon was recognized as being one of the wisest men in scripture. It was a gift he requested from God. It allowed him to become renowned worldwide during his time. Kings from other nations came to learn from him due to his wisdom. He became wealthy and as foreing visitors visited they brought him additional wealth. He was able to adorn the temple with Gold and fine things. Yet with all his wisdom came pride. He started to drink his own kool aid so to speak he drifted from the knowledge of God. This is why the last line is so important. The fear of the Lord and maintaining humility before God is crucial for us to not lose the whole purpose.
