Homily given at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, December 1, 2019, the First Sunday of Advent, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church.
The grace that rests on the season of Advent is the grace for a deeper union with Jesus, that He may be born more deeply in us. During the season of Advent, Fr. Ed is focusing on Pope St. John Paul the Great's four pillars of spirituality that help us to grow in union with Jesus: the Eucharistic, contemplative, charismatic, and Marian.
Today, Fr. Ed focused on the Presence of the Lord Jesus in the Eucharist. He shared some ways to help make the Lord Jesus' Presence in the Eucharist a greater focus in our lives.
Note: Unfortunately, the opening sentence of the homily was cut off in the recording.
