7 May 2017 - Rev. Aaron Eime reminds us that in the lectionary, Easter is not a one-day event but a four-week season, a time of reflection on the teaching of Jesus, now that we know he is alive. In the passage, Jesus uses allegory to invite the listener to engage in interpretation. The motif of the shepherd is first discussed in a historical context and then Moses as a type of good shepherd.
