Cryptocurrencies have exploded in popularity in the last few years.
These cryptographic systems aim to provide freedom from
government-backed fiat currencies. This presentation examines the
traditional and novel risks to cryptocurrency systems. Special
attention is paid to documented attacks on cryptocurrency
infrastructure, criminal use of cryptocurrencies, and the policies
affecting cryptocurrency systems.
