1. Get pre-approved. This way, you’ll gain an understanding of what kind of property you can afford.
2. Separate your wants and needs. Each of these is important, but understanding what is a necessity and what is simply a preference will help guide your search.
3. Choose and research the area you want to live in.
4. Pick the style of house you like and stick to it.
5. Document your visit each time you go see a listing.
