Four easy and helpful tips to make your home more energy efficient.
How can you make your home more energy efficient? There are four easy things you can do to work on this.
Everyone loves bright and airy spaces, but people underestimate how much energy windows can waste. Having heavier window treatments can make a massive difference, and there are plenty of ways to disguise them. On top of that, some window treatments just look better!
Another tip is that 90% of the energy your washer uses goes to heating the water. If you reduce the temperature of the water, you’ll cut your CO2 emissions, and your clothes will be just fine. Plus, there are plenty of laundry detergents that are designed for cold water.
You can also make the switch to LED lightbulbs. Going from a fluorescent bulb to an LED one can make a huge difference. Plus, those fluorescent bulbs are ugly anyway.
Our last tip is to add more plants to your decor. Not only will it keep your home energy efficient, but it’s also very trendy.
