In Episode 8 of the CDSFA Community Football Podcast, we speak with Elias Youssef from the Canterbury Referees Association (CRA). Elias has been a referee within the CDSFA for almost 20 years. He has been instrumental in recruiting four of his children as referees: two daughters and two sons. Elias’ youngest son Ellie also happens to be the youngest junior referee within the CRA.

Elias is well respected within the CDSFA and is regarded as one of the most passionate and committed referees going around. Even to this day, Elias continues to be an inspiration to younger referees. In 2019, Elias was awarded a Cec Barlow Award from the CDSFA in recognition for his outstanding service to Football.
