Previous Episode: Farmer & Forester Ed

On World Ocean Day, I interview Aquatic Biologist Frances, who has a wealth of knowledge around our beautiful blue seas, seaweeds and all things marine.

We discuss healthy shores, ancestral foraging traditions, Brehon Law, seaweed baths, basking sharks, oceanic oxygen production and much much more.

She currently does seaweed foraging workshops and will take part in the Ellen Hutchins Festival in August, as well as an ongoing citizen scientist for the Irish Whale & Dolphin Group.

She also has a book 'Introduction to Seaweeds' which you can find at one of her talks. Other books she mentions : Prannie Rhatigan 'Irish Seaweed Kitchen" and a link to seaweed identification: https://www.algaebase.org.
