Senator Matt Klein,  DFL-Mendota Heights, is the new chair of the Senate Commerce and Consumer Protection Committee.  He joins Capitol Report moderator Shannon Loehrke to outline a handful of consumer protection bills, including banning conversion therapy, deterring catalytic converter theft and prohibiting excessive price increases on generic prescription drugs.

Senator Warren Limmer, R-Maple Grove, ranking minority member and former chair of the Senate Judiciary and Public Safety Committee, talks with Shannon about his proposal to establish carjacking as a felony.

Also in the program, lawmakers and nurses push for improved working conditions for Minnesota nurses, and former Governor Jesse Ventura and Senator John Jasinski, R-Faribault, provide differing perspectives on the legalization of adult-use cannabis.
