Conversation with Deepa Rachel- Breast Cancer Survivor

In 2019, Deepa Rachel felt a lump in her breast. She went to see the gynecologist. Gynecologist suggested her ultrasound and the reports showed fibroma. In March 2020 she again felt the lump in her breast but because of covid she decided to go in July. In July, the reports showed that the size of the tumor has grown three times. The doctor asked to go for 4 chemo first and then the next 4 chemos. They went ahead with the treatment and after the chemo she went for surgery and now she is under revision. She didn't have much side effects from chemo. She went through the journey happily. She just goes for a follow up now. Both her husband and children were strong. Her children were small but still she was able to manage everything and create a balance.
She says, " Don't let it get into you." Cancer doesn't mean you will die.
She is happy, she is getting her hair back. She has kids and a loving husband with whom she spends most of her time
