Welcome to CableCast!  CableCast is a Pokémon VGC Podcast hosted by Caleb "Cable" Ryor whose goal is to delve deeper into the official Pokémon competitive circuit and its meta-game  by showcasing thoughts, opinions, and analysis from an always changing cast of guest VGC players.  This week Caleb is joined by Angel Miranda and Nick "Nails" Navarre, close friends and strong VGC players with very similar Twitter profile pictures who associate with the Smogon VGC crew. With the VGC 2020 ruleset coming out the very day they were scheduled to record, all the new information flooded the cast with strong opinions on the viability of the Gigantamax Pokemon that will be legal (starting January 4th) as well as concerns over the reimplementation of an ingame timer of 15 minutes. Furthermore they discuss their thoughts on how the game has been so far with good things shared about Dynamax as far as its competitive merit and balance in the doubles format. Usage stats from the Galar Weekies hosted by @vgcstats on r/VGC prove to be an important asset to look into a window of the metagame as it develops as Caleb and the cast recommend you keep an eye of those tournaments and do your best to try one yourself! I don't want to give away too many details about what is said, so do go listen and see how these players who have been grinding since day 1 feel about the game!  Follow the host and guests on Twitter:  @CableVGC @AngelJMiranda @NailsOU  This was streamed live at twitch.tv/cablevgc Follow me there or Twitter to find out whenever I go live!  Helpful links referenced on the cast:  twitter.com/vgcstats  reddit.com/r/VGC  swordshield.pokemon.com  www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/2020-pokemon-video-game-championships-vgc-format-rules/ -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/cablevgc
