Amanda talks to Kaitlyn Farmer and Jason Cruz of RAW Art Works, a youth arts organization in Lynn, Massachusetts, rooted in art therapy.

Youth in Lynn experience poverty and crime rates that are among the highest in Massachusetts. A significant portion (84%) of the teens involved at RAW have experienced some kind of childhood trauma. At its core, RAW Art Works believes that all kids should be seen and heard and that everyone has a story to tell. Kaitlyn and Jason discuss the value of the arts programming and leadership training at this powerful non-profit. These programs offer kids a safe place to express themselves through art and authentic conversation, meet friends, impact their community, and develop the skills they'll need for a bright future.
