The Buffalo Bills could find wide receiver as a key need this off-season. John Brown may be a cap casualty. Isaiah McKenzie and Andre Roberts are unrestricted free agents. That leaves the Buffalo Bills looking at Isaiah Hodgins, Duke Williams, Jake Krumerow, and Tanner Gentry competing to replace up to three guys on the depth chart. The one thing that is missing from that group of receivers is speed.

If John Brown is released the Buffalo Bills will have to find another wide receiver with the skill set to play on the boundary and have the speed to take the top off. While Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis will man these roles if one goes down the Bills could find themselves in the same predicament they were in in 2019 when John Brown had no help across from him.

If the Buffalo Bills lose McKenzie and Roberts they will likely find someone who can provide both McKenzie's jet sweep/gadget ability while also having the ability to return kicks and punts. Roberts' ability to get the Buffalo Bills plus field position was a very underrated factor in their 2020 success. If the Bills can only afford 6 wide receivers and want to add the size a player like Isaiah Hodgins provides they will need to find a player who can do what McKenzie and Roberts do.
